Another story in pictures.
Went to the Soo to meet trucks.
One was a little later than expected, so we had time to visit with Amy, near Brimley.
She showed us her new chicks. They were cheeping softly. Amy said they’re supposed to lay well in the winter.
There was also time to sit in the sun and drink a butterscotch malt at the Bear’s Den, where the owners were very kind to a wayfaring stranger who didn’t feel very well. (Me.)
And time to walk through the train museum in Brimley, where I’ve always wanted to go and have never been.
It was a peaceful day. I was grateful for the sun on my skin.
Waiting for the truck at the Brim-Cor.

of a day with many good parts.
John and Johnny of Big Marsh Builders are almost done rebuilding the west end of the diner. Thank you!
(And thank you, Johnny, for giving me permission to raid the rhubarb patch, too.)
These guys came for a visit.
We got to see the giant hot dog in Mackinac City when we went on our supply run. (We want one!)
Also got to see sausages about to go in the smoker at Krueger’s Fish Market in Mackinac City.
Got the Ford back! (Thank you, Rahilly Motors, for all your help w/ our problem child vehicle.)
The cookie tray made me happy.
And Starlet was here!
And, can’t put a picture of this one up yet, but my editor sent me a photo of the potential book cover for The Education of Ivy Blake. It couldn’t be more perfect. Many thanks to her and to the art department at Penguin.
